Lou Henson is an 18 year veteran of the SBVFD and serves as the Lieutenant for Engine 2 and a member of the Sunrise Beach Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors and has served with the First Responders in the past. Lou served as an engineer and manager for Amoco Production Company, retiring in 1999 after 30 years of service. He principally served in the NGL business at locations throughout the lower 48 before ending his career in Houston and moving with his wife Syb to Sunrise Beach. Lou is active in SBVFD fund raisers serving on the Golf Committee and as a past chef for the BBQ and straw boss for the Flea Market. He has served on several committees with the city and was a City Councilman for 6 years. He has also been active with the CCAA serving as president, vice president, and treasurer for that organization. He is a past member of Fund Raising Board for the Scott and White Hospital and is currently is a realtor with Trammell Real Estate and sings with the Highland Lakes Men’s Chorus. He is married to Syb Henson and they have two sons, Zachary and Patrick.
